Draft Five - Poster

I have tried to change all the things i didn't like on my last draft poster. I have missed off the billing block and release date on this draft, as this was just a test to see how my improvements would look and if they worked.

The first thing i changed on this draft was the tag line. i kept the the colour and font as i felt this worked on the poster and put across the genre of horror, instead i left of the text effect of the bevel emboss and tryed to make it look a little brighter against the dark background. I like it being lighter against the dark background, but i don't feel it has the same effect or impact without the bevel emboss effect, so on the next draft i may just put that in a again. The blood dripping is something i have trying to improve since the first draft, as it looks to fake and stuck on almost, against the 2D background, i want to make it look like it is coming from the heart, to make it look creepy and horror like, but on this instead of looking like it is dripping it looks like it is solid and hard, i might not use the bevel and emboss effect as it seems to make it look to 3D and hard, but at the same time i like how it stands out, to perfect the blood drip i think i may need to practice with different brushes and effects to get it right. I also changed the Title look, i liked the previous one a lot, but just wanted to practice and try out different effect. I like the way in this one the blood looks like it is dripping on to the title, linking the poster together well, this is something i achieved by liquifying the text and also bevel embossing it, so it fitted the texture of the blood drip. Though i really like this also, i don't think it has the same impact as my original title, as i think it looks to cheesy and not with any style, it also looks to dark so doesn't stand out against the dark. This means i will be going back to my original way of doing the title, but maybe having the dripping falling on to the title, so it looks Incorporated. The pictures are an improvement, as i have had the chance to edit the photos and have used a bigger varity. The size is a bit better, but i still don't think Kate's face is clear enoguh on the poster and dosen't stand out enough, so i would really like to have a second photo shoot to get some better quality of photo.
