Editted Images 3

I edited some of the photos i took on our first photo shoot, to see if it would make them anymore eye catching and striking enough to be used as the main images on a poster for the movie or if i will have to take some new images of better quality.

i also opened this image up in Camera Raw, to get the best out of editing it. i turned up the temperature in this image, as i felt she looked to dark against the background, though bringing up the temperature usually makes it look summery, i think it gives this image an eerie glow around Kate. To go against the temperature and to make the image fit more in to the horror genre i turned the exposure down to make it darker, along with bringing the blacks up so that the area around her looked darker and she stood out in the yellow glow, so she was the focus if use on a poster image. i also used the clarity to make the image more defined as the original was slightly unclear.

I opened this image up in Camera Raw, so that i could manipulate the images easily with more control on the outcomes. In this image i changed the temperature, i turned it down, so that Kate's image stood out more in an eerie glow, cold glow making it fit in with the Horror genre as she looks cold and alone. then i turned down the exposures to make it slightly dark along with the blacks, so that it would counteract with the temperature change, and make Kate the main focus, to keep it still fitting in with the horror genre. I then brought up the clarity as the original image is a bit blurred, so i thought this may help to make the image more defined. I think this works well and helps to make it fit more in with the horror genre whilst looking interesting.

With this image i didn't change much on it, as i think i need to re-take this image, as there isn't enough light on the top half of her face, but i still tried to improve it and make it striking.
I turned the saturation and vibrancy all the way down so that the image became black and white, i did this as i thought it may help against the bad lighting on parts of Kate's face, i think it worked well. I also turn up the brightness and blacks to try and make the image look more defined. though i would still like to retake this image, i think this works well.

I also used camera raw on this image. i turned down the temperature, as on the previous image, her outfit seemed to summery and stood out to much for the wrong reasons, now she looks cold and alone, but the image still stands out as she is the main focus, as i have turned down the exposure, so that the things around her look darker and less noticeable. i pulled up the recovery to help with the darkness and the full light to help capture Kate along with the clarity so Kate looks more defined and the main attraction of the image. Other things i did to stop Kate's costume look to summery in the darkness and to fit in with the Horror genre, i turned down the brightness and the vibrant that the image became dull looking, but with Kate in the middle standing out because of turning up the clarity.

with this image i didn't feel the need to edit it to much as it already looked very interesting and eye catching when used on my draft posters. I opened it up in Camera Raw and turned up the temperature to make her look like she has an eerie glow, fitting in with the horror idea of the idea she's a ghost and to stand out. I then turned up the blacks around her to contrast even more with the bright central image.
