Sound Track Ideas One

I have been given the task of recording the sound within the trailer and the soundtrack. This means i have been looking closely at what i have to do to get the best result for both tasks. In regards to recording background noise for the trailer, such as birds or cars, i think it would be easier to put all that sound on afterwards, due to continuity when the shots cut together, also when filming we may pick up some unwanted sound like we did in our first draft of cars passing by, so i think we are going to record all background noise separately with a boom, such as birds or normal street noises so that we can choose what we want to put on the final shot or use some of the many sound effects available when editing it all together. This means when filming we wont be using any sound equipment, instead i will help take care of lighting as well.
With the soundtrack i had some ideas and so did the group, we all have agreed on it starting off slow and mellow and building up as the trailer builds. As it builds we'd introduce electric guitar, drums and bass and towards the end we want the drums to create almost a heart beat effect. towards the end of the trailer we would have alot of short takes, as each take changed there would be a loud beat like dum dum dum (scene change) DUM dum dum dum (scene change) Dum. i am working on the guitar parts, which i think i have sorted, i just need to talk to the group to figure out timings.
